Do you think the housing dogs have light weight coats?

My dog has always been a house dog, but the last two years his overcoat has become less and less heavy. She is in good health and eat foods that are very expensive and take vit. Is it the mildest winter? Unlike house lighting from the sun? With 5 years of age, your body has become the idea that you do not need a heavy coat?

While I was at my vets office a couple of weeks ago I was reading something that said the dog house (unlike dogs who are kept outside) covered throughout the year because there are temperature fluctuations that dogs have out. The warmth of the house are covered with hair done otherwise would being on them for their winter coat.
