Question about the Gentle Leader collar?
I have a large breed dog is pit bull, boxer, shepherd mix. When I carry it in races and walks strip and has such a short attention span who loves chasing birds and getting the attention of people and other animals that whatever we do not go only in one normal walking. So I'm trying the sweet collar of leader during the first day, and so far hate it. I took a walk and stopped every few steps and try of carrying out the nose that will rub on the floor and his worst as before. Has anyone else had these problems with the gentle leader? Does your dog get used to it? I put it correctly on the Manula showed me and it is loose around your nose, but not tight either. No, I do not see the movie I'm going to do that now. I read the manual.
Definitely read everything and watch everything that comes with the GL. The adjustment is most important for the time you get that right, which is halfway. I had a coach once told me that is like a kid getting a new pair of glasses. I think that's a good way to describe how the dogs react. Not that I hate, but but it is something new and a little strange feeling. Ask your dog to start using for short bursts of time and gradually increase over time. Whenever the GL happens, happens very impressive as a super duper good deal or a tennis ball or a car ride or a walk … what is the gold award for your dog. Eventually you will become accustomed and view it as a sign of time standing. It's worth the time invested in safe! My Pittie mixtures love to see me out the GL of the drawer now because they know the time to go the park!
